Oxford The 5th International Conference on Literature, Language, and Culture Development June 8, 2026

ICLLCD 2025

The 5th International Conference on Literature, Language, and Culture Development (ICLLCD 2026) was a hybrid conference which included several symposium series (offline and online) around the world. Prof. Enrique Mallen from Sam Houston State University, Dr. Yang Jianfei from Communication University of China and Dr. Abdullah Laghari from Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology have chaired these symposium series on related topics. ICLLCD 2026 provided the participants with good opportunities to exchange ideas and build networks, and it will lead to further collaborations between both universities and other societies.

Symposium:

Sam Houston State University, USA

Organizer: Prof. Enrique Mallen, Professor at Sam Houston State University

The goal of this symposium is to provide educators with practical strategies for teaching history through visual arts. By selecting appropriate artworks, guiding visual analysis, and connecting art to historical context, teachers will be better equipped to help students develop critical thinking and deeper historical understanding.

Communication University of China, China

Organizer: Dr. Yang Jianfei, Associate Professor in Communication University of China

This symposium explored the role of intelligent media in facilitating global cultural communication, focusing on how AI-driven tools, digital storytelling, and cross-cultural discourse can bridge cultural differences while preserving local specificity. Through examining case studies and interdisciplinary frameworks, participants gained insight into building communication models that foster civilizational dialogue and intercultural empathy. The symposium provided valuable perspectives for researchers and practitioners seeking to create culturally resonant global communication systems.

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Pakistan

Organizer: Dr. Abdullah Laghari, Associate Professor at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology

This symposium explored how cultural narratives are constructed and sustained through the complementary approaches of literary and linguistic analysis. By examining literary forms such as folklore, myths, novels, and historical accounts alongside linguistic features including lexical, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic variations, participants gained insight into interdisciplinary strategies for preserving and reinterpreting traditional narratives in contemporary society. The symposium provided valuable perspectives for educators and researchers seeking to redress the challenges of cultural narrative decline in the age of globalization and modern media dominance.
